All of our rescued Boxers are temperament tested to evaluate how they react to different situations and environments. They are tested with other dogs, cats (when possible) as well as children.

Requirements to adopt from Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue, Inc.
Must be 21 years of age
Must be able to assist with transport of your new dog
Must agree to a homevisit and follow-up homevisit
All personal pets must be spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and on heartworm prevention
North and South Carolina is one of the top ranked states for Heartworm Disease in dogs. . Heartworm treatment costs approximately $250 per dog. This does not include vaccines, spay/neuter nor treatment of additional medical problems. Please consider sponsoring in part or in full, one of our HW+ rescued Boxers so that we may continue our efforts.
Adoption fees vary for adult Boxer Mixes and Boxer Mix Puppies according to veterinary expenses on a case by case basis
Please Note:If you are interested in adopting any of our Boxers please fill out our Adoption Application at the bottom of this page. Individual dogs will not be discussed until we have received and approved your application and your homevisit. BRBR serves North and South Carolina and some parts of Virgina. The adoption donation includes but is not limited to spay or neuter, vaccinations (dhlpp, rabies, bordetella), fecal and worming, HW test (and treatment if neccessary), treatment for any illness or injury and the Boxer will be on HW prevention while under our care. All Boxers must remain on HW prevetion throughout their life. Please do not put in an application if you plan to keep your dog outside...your application will not be processed.
